About Me
I’m a native Iowan and blessed to work in a job that improves people’s lives each and every day. I completed my undergraduate study in social work at the University of Iowa, and received my Master of Public Administration from Drake University. Currently, I lead a nonprofit that works to eliminate the symptoms and causes of poverty. When I’m not dreaming about Disney destinations or helping someone plan a Disney trip, you can find me jammin' to T Swift, playing with our amazing dog, Blue, or enjoying time with my family or friends.
About My Family
I am lucky enough to be married to my best friend, Brian. We have three brilliant daughters (Alex, Jordan, and Taylor), a saint of a son-in-law (Cory) and an amazing grandson (Atticus), who is our favorite companion on our trips to the Walt Disney World Resort. While I have visited the Disney Parks alone, I prefer to visit with the whole gang because the only thing better than experiencing the joy of Disney is seeing people I love experience the joy of Disney. From my husband screaming down Tiana's Bayou Adventure and Jordan giggling like a toddler upon meeting Eeyore, to Taylor posing like a rock star on the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and Alex and Atticus racing to ride TRON Lightcycle/Run, we are at our happiest when we leave the real world behind and fully immerse ourselves in the world that Disney built.
About My Disney Experience
Disney vacations are an important part of my life and have been since I was 11 years old. That’s when my family loaded up the car and drove 1,800 miles to Disneyland. Since that time, my Disney adventures have included too many visits to Disneyland and the Walt Disney World Resort to count, cruises aboard the Disney Dream, Magic, Wonder, Wish, and Treasure, and two runDisney half marathons. My motto is: “If you didn’t like your Disney vacation, you didn’t do it right!”
