Under the Weather at Walt Disney World? We’ve Got the Remedy, No Magic Wand Required!

  1. Top Tips for Staying Healthy

Getting sick on vacation is never part of the plan, but if you find yourself feeling under the weather at Walt Disney World, don’t worry! Whether you’re in the parks or back at your resort, there are many resources available to help you rest, recover, and get the care you need. Here’s what to know if the sniffles (or any other health hiccup) sneak up on you.

Visit a First Aid Center in the Parks

Each Walt Disney World theme park and water park has its own First Aid Center, staffed with licensed nurses ready to help with everything from headaches and dehydration to upset stomachs and minor injuries. These centers are equipped with basic medical supplies and offer a quiet place to rest if you need a break.

    Locations include:
    • Magic Kingdom: between Casey’s Corner and The Crystal Palace
    • EPCOT: The Odyssey
    • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: at the entrance of the park, near Guest Services
    • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: near Creature Comforts
    • Blizzard Beach Water Park: near Lottawatta Lodge
    • Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: near Leaning Palms

planDisney Tip: If you need over-the-counter medicines, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen while visiting the theme parks, stop by a First Aid location. A helpful medical professional will greet you (no appointment needed), take your name, and can provide these single-serve medications as needed, so you can get back to enjoying your Disney day. -panelist Keri B.

When my son woke up not feeling well during our recent Walt Disney World vacation, AdventHealth helped turn a stressful situation into a manageable one. We called AdventHealth's Care Concierge first thing in the morning, and they were able to set him up with an appointment at Centra Care right away. They even arranged to have a shuttle take us there and back since we didn't have a car. We picked up his antibiotics right there at Centra Care, and he was back to enjoying vacation the very next day! While we never planned to start off our vacation that way, it was so nice that AdventHealth had everything covered. -panelist Jenn J.
