Snacks ... Because it's All About the Snacks

2022 National Plan for Vacation Day

  1. Top Snack Picks

    Walt Disney World Resort

·Turkey Legs and Mickey Waffles: Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom Park is a great place for snacks that eat like a meal.  There are great options throughout the day, starting with classic Mickey waffles, and for lunch or dinner hand-dipped corn dogs or the sweet and (not too) spicy chicken waffle sandwich.  The iconic turkey legs are also available at Sleepy Hollow after 7 pm.  ~ Anne Marie R.

·Hummus Fries: Take a second to think about that. Hummus, turned into fries. They are salty, a little spicy, crunchy, and yet still a bit creamy. In a world of snacks that are retreads of classics, I think I found my new classic in EPCOT World Showcase. ~ Doug I.

·Margarita: A margarita counts as a snack, right?! No trip to Walt Disney World Resort is complete without a visit to Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park for a Hightower Rocks and the Impossible Sliders. YUM! ~ Mandy D.

·Caramel Popcorn: I don't usually have a sweet-tooth, but there is something about the signature caramel popcorn at Karamell-Küche in Germany pavilion at EPCOT. Whether it's a sweltering day in the sun or a breezy fall night, I seem to always find a way to make room for this sweet, salty, crunchy combo. It is also now available for Mobile Order, so there's absolutely no excuse not to indulge! ~ Ryan J.

    · Cheshire Cat Tail: If I'm in Magic Kingdom Park and in need of a mid-afternoon treat, then my taste buds usually crave a Cheshire Cat Tail. The flaky pastry, indulgent chocolate, and vibrant icing all combine to create an explosion of joy in my mouth. Yum! ~ Mike J.

    · Ronto Wrap: I am not a Star Wars fan. There. I've said it. There has been a Wookie ornament on my Christmas tree for six years. I assumed it was Big Foot. But when it comes to snacks at Walt Disney World, pack my passport and take me to Batuu, the terrestrial planet you'll land on when you find yourself at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I make a beeline right for Ronto Roasters, the home to my favorite snack, the Ronto Wrap. I won't say no to the Ronto Morning Wrap, which is a great way to start your day, but when it comes to the Ronto Wrap, I am so there for it. I don't know if it's the flavorful grilled sausage, the tangy slaw, or the "I can't get enough of this" peppercorn sauce, but when it comes together on the warm, soft pita wrap, it is THE snack. ~ Anna S.

    Disneyland Resort

    · Giant Pickle and Pineapple Spear: Churros, popcorn, and DOLE Whip are Disneyland Resort stables, but a great snack that not as many people know about are the giant pickle and the pineapple spear Guests can find at Tropical Imports inside Adventureland at Disneyland Park. Not only is this a healthy option for long park days, but both are incredibly delicious and perfect for a warm afternoon. Fun Fact -- Tropical Imports makes available Tajin to add a touch of heat to any sweet fruit. I love topping my pineapple spear with Tajin every single visit! – Lola E.

·Quantum Pretzel: My recent favorite is the Quantum Pretzel at Pym Test Kitchen in Avengers Campus. Be sure to ask for extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese-Beer Sauce to dip that soft, warm pretzel into before devouring it! We use Mobile Ordering to have it waiting for us after we work up an appetite capturing Spider-Bots with Peter Parker at WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. The Quantum Pretzel is pretty big and sized to share, so we usually get one to split amongst four of us. ~ Kamini C.

·Safari Skewer: If you're in the mood for a non-dessert snack at the Disneyland Resort, I recommend stopping by Bengal Barbecue in Disneyland Park for the Safari Skewer, which is the most delicious bacon-wrapped asparagus... my mouth is salivating just thinking about it! Warning -- you may want to grab a couple since they're so addicting! ~ Kristin C.

·Churro Toffee Square: As I leave the parks, you'll find me stopping in Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen on Main Street, U.S.A., or Marceline's Confectionery in Downtown Disney to grab a treat or two. Chances are that one (or more) of those treats is a Churro Toffee Square. It's a fabulous piece of toffee in white chocolate coating and covered in the beloved cinnamon churro sugar. It's the perfect pick-me-up to cure my Disneyland blues when I return home. ~ Carrie H.

    · Cheddar Garlic Bagel Twist: Everyone has a favorite Disney Parks snack. Of course, that has a lot to do with the delicious treat that they are. Food also has a magical way of making memories. My family’s traditional snack at the Disneyland Resort is the Cheddar Garlic Bagel Twist from Maurice’s Treats. We have made many precious memories during our visits to Fantasy Faire. Whether it’s taking in a show at the Royal Theatre or conversing with a Disney Princess at Royal Hall, Belle’s father Maurice has always made those experiences even more memorable with his warm, cheesy bagel twists. ~ Tony S.

·Frozen Apple Juice: I stumbled upon the Frozen Apple Juice at the Fantasyland Fruit Cart just to the left of Casey Jr. Circus Train during a very hot Disneyland day many moons ago. While initially it may seem like an option for the kiddos, let me tell you, it is just the right amount of sweet and tart to satisfy those more mature taste buds! And who doesn't love crushed ice?! It has been a must-have for me from that moment on. ~ Tara H.

    Disney Cruise Line

    ·Shawarma:
Cruising on Disney Cruise Line and food go hand-in-hand, and if you ever go hungry you must be asleep! When a snack attack hits me and I'm topside on the Disney Magic or Wonder - I swing over to Pete's Boiler Bites and do my best Avengers impression and get a plate of shawarma. Sometimes, if I had a light breakfast I'll snag a plate of fries and put the two together to make a sort of Levantine Poutine! ~ Andrew H.

·Caramel Tartlet: Craving a sweet afternoon snack on the Disney Cruise Line? I love to swing by the Cove Café near the adults-only Quiet Cove Pool for a Caramel Tartlet. It's the perfect size for a quick bite to enjoy in the relaxing atmosphere. ~ Adrianna H.

·Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich: On a day spent on Castaway Cay, don't miss the opportunity to create your own cookie and soft-serve ice cream sandwich. Grab two giant cookies from the lunchtime buffet on the island and head over to the nearby soft-serve machine to make your masterpiece. The chewy cookies paired with the sweet soft-serve make the perfect snack for your day in paradise. ~Adrianna H.
