Must Do Restaurants

2022 National Plan for Vacation Day

  1. Don't Miss these Dining Experiences

•A must-do each time we visit is dining at Narcoossee’s at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. I book this reservation for nighttime so I can enjoy the beautiful view of the Electrical Water Pageant while I dine. The view of the Seven Seas Lagoon is gorgeous, and the seafood is fantastic ~Stacy

•A top stop for my family on every trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria. I know it may be hard to imagine a pizza place as a must do with all the culinary options that Walt Disney World has to offer, but the pizza isn't just any pizza. These wood-fired pies are incredible. So incredible that the water for the dough is specially sourced. Now that's attention to detail! If you ask any member of my family where their favorite place to get a slice is, they are going to say Via Napoli. ~Tammy

•There are so many incredible table-service restaurants to choose from at Walt Disney World Resort, but when you're traveling with small children, sitting down for a long, leisurely meal isn't always the best option. That's why my family is always on the hunt for some of the great quick-service options at Walt Disney World.  Without a doubt, our favorite stop is Satu'li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.  My husband and I love the Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl, while my kids are big fans the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods –– any meal that makes everyone happy is a HUGE win in my book!  Amy K.

•A must-do restaurant for my family is The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. In fact, I've been known to plan a whole weekend trip around a reservation I was able to grab. The restaurant is set on the lake at Disney Springs and provides the most stunning views as the sun goes down. The menu is quite extensive and there is truly something for even the pickiest of eaters. My go-to order is the lobster roll served warm and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. If there is any room for dessert, I suggest the Key Lime Pie in a jar. It's a light and bright dessert, just what you want after such a rich meal. ~ Jackie H.

•I would highly recommend Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge's Kidani Village. Their famous Indian-style Bread Service is a crowd favorite, but I also fell in love with their incredible samosas and beautiful scenery. There's nothing quite like eating an amazing meal while looking over the savanna. ~Ariane

•Don't want to be tied down to dining reservations? Try the amazing quick-service locations in the theme parks. Walt Disney World takes quick-service menus to the next level for some truly tasty dining! One of my top picks is Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom Park. It truly has food you just would not expect in a theme park! Feast on lobster rolls, grilled salmon with rice, grilled shrimp skewers, or just good old fried fish or chicken.  ~Cathy

•Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada Pavilion is a must-do to try the regional cuisines of the provinces of Canada, especially the fillet mignon, the mushroom risotto, and unique Truffle butter sauce. You will feel as if you are in a grand chateau-style hotel, like the Chateau Frontenac, or the Chateau Fairmont Laurier, not to mention the authentically replicated Butchart Gardens from British Columbia. ~ Jackie P.

•I always find myself at Storytellers Cafe located in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It's a great spot that is a bit out of the way ... and out of the sun! The space feels big and grand with beautiful Craftsman-style architecture, but with its buffet style dining and casual vibe, it always feels welcoming. Whether I'm with my kids eating with Mickey himself at Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet or with a big group of friends enjoying some delicious Californian cuisine, Storytellers Cafe always hits the spot! ~Tara

•We take every opportunity to eat at GCH Craftsman Grill, located at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We can usually grab a reservation a couple of weeks in advance or add ourselves to the walk-up list. It's outdoor, poolside, and we love the ambiance any time of day. We particularly enjoy an evening meal with the twinkling white lights strung above us. The Tamarind Margarita has a tart and salty kick to it, pairing nicely with the Double-baked Nachos (which can be prepared vegetarian by request!) ~Kamini

•To me, Napa Rose is one of the best-kept secrets at the Disneyland Resort. Their food selections change seasonally and pair beautifully with California wines, so you'll have a memorable meal there no matter when you visit. ~Julie

•We love Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park! There's nothing quite like eating amazing food while taking in the sights and sounds of Pixar Pier! Our biggest dilemma is whether to book brunch, lunch, or dinner because everything is so good! ~Lisa

•If you are sailing on the Disney Wonder, check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to see when you’ll be dining at Tiana's Place! Not only is the food delicious, but the entertainment is also exceptional, and the atmosphere makes for a perfect party vibe. Put on your dancing shoes and try a beignet or two! ~Adrianna
