Questions Answered: The Villas at Disneyland Hotel!

As Disney Vacation Club® Members, announcements regarding new Resort options are met with giddy anticipation in my household. Additional adventures and future memories suddenly become possible. Our excitement surrounding The Villas at Disneyland® Hotel has reached an entirely different level. 

We are geographically closer to Walt Disney World Resort, but what we envisioned as a single visit to Disneyland Resort and stay at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has grown into yearly cross-country journeys. We are thrilled to have another Disneyland Resort option to use our Vacation Points and experience the comforts of home entwined with the luxury of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. 

I recently had the opportunity of a lifetime to tour Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. I was captivated by the history and artistry of classic Disney Animation as well as witnessing the evolution of the modern beloved Disney films. The entire experience gave me an even more profound awe and appreciation for the incredible process of Disney storytelling. Earlier this year, when I saw the concept art for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, I was immediately transported to my time at Walt Disney Studios. 

Duo Studios with ideal space for two guests featuring the whimsical art from Jungle Book. The Deluxe Studios, inspired by The Princess and the Frog and Sleeping Beauty, blends iconic Disney classics with contemporary designs.One and Two-Bedroom Villas with more space and touches of the gorgeous design work from Princess and the Frog or Fantasia. The showstopping Three-Bedroom Grand Villas adorned with storytelling elements from Bambi, Moana, and Frozen as well as a multi-level balcony and dual-sided fireplace. A breathtaking, unique mural created by the associate production designer of Encanto and even a splash pad themed after “Steamboat Willie.” Complete immersion in the art of storytelling my family dearly loves, combined with the amenities of home, and located within walking distance from the theme parks. Unsurprisingly, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel has risen to the top of our Disney Vacation Club “must-do” list. 

As my family’s designated vacation planner, before our dream stay becomes a reality, I always examine the logistics. So, let’s look at some of the details surrounding using our Membership at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel:

When can Disney Vacation Club Members begin booking The Villas at Disneyland Hotel?
• Vacation Points are on sale now. Disney Vacation Club Members who purchased Points could begin making reservations as early as May 16th for dates from September 28th, 2023 (opening day) through April 16th, 2024. 
•All other Members will be able to complete bookings beginning on July 27th, 2023. They can reserve available dates from September 28th, 2023, through February 27th, 2024. 
•The typical seven-month booking period will apply following these dates. I would suggest being ready to make your reservations on July 27th, as The Villas at Disneyland Hotel are sure to be extremely popular.

A huge perk for us to become Members was pre-paying for decades of vacations. We were investing in tomorrow’s memories at today’s price point. Keeping that in mind, looking at the additional fees surrounding a Disney Vacation Club stay is essential:

What is the Transient Occupancy Tax?
•As with all Disney Vacation Club Resorts, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel owners will have Annual Dues. However, the City of Anaheim has imposed a nightly Transient Occupancy Tax based on the number of Vacation Points used per stay. 
•The good news is that this Transient Occupancy Tax will not be included in an owner’s Annual Dues. So, they will only be incurred when using Vacation Points to stay at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. For example, the Transient Occupancy Tax will not be included if Points are used for a visit to a Walt Disney World Resort Disney Vacation Club property. Currently, that is the extent of any additional fees. 

Parking Details
•At this time, there will be no parking fee for Disney Vacation Club Members staying on Points at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. 

As the opening date for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel draws near, I am reminded of the Walt Disney quote that has inspired so many for so long, “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” The same sentiment rings true for Disney Vacation Club. 

Since its beginning in 1991, Disney Vacation Club has continued to grow and expand to allow Members adventure opportunities around the country while ensuring consistent luxury quality and many of the comforts of home. The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will offer Members the opportunity to experience Walt Disney’s original vision while enjoying his living legacy of imagination and growth.
