Fireworks Light Up the Night at Walt Disney World Resort

Fireworks at Walt Disney World Resort

  1. Magical Tips for Viewing Walt Disney World Resort Fireworks

They can bring a tear to your eye, and they can bring a smile to your face. They light up the sky while at the same time lighting up your heart. Some say they are the most magical part of a Disney vacation, and we can’t help but agree there is magic in fireworks at Disney! And while they can be seen from across the parks, the planDisney panelists have a few recommendations of their favorite locations to view the nighttime spectaculars.

If you find yourself in Magic Kingdom Park ready to view the fireworks, the panelists have several favorite spots, with their first choice being the hub grass. This location is truly one that is snatched up early, so grab your popcorn and find a seat before others begin to gather. More of a last-minute viewer? Be sure to check out the view from behind Cinderella Castle next to the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. Our panelists give this location two Mickey hands up!

Another popular location at Magic Kingdom Park would no doubt be Main Street, U.S.A. Our panel agrees there is no better place to take in the magic without having to look in any direction but straight ahead!

planDisney insider tip: Check out viewing fireworks while facing the Liberty Square Riverboat in Liberty Square! It’s not a well-known spot, and the view is stunning!

Fireworks at EPCOT can be seen from many fantastic locations alongside World Showcase Lagoon. However, if we had to pick one of our favorite spots, it would definitely be from
an outdoor waterside table at La Cantina de San Angel. Wait, who are we kidding? We love every spot you can find at EPCOT!

So, what’s better than watching a fireworks spectacular show in the parks? Watching it in pajamas! If you opt for a theme park view room at a Magic Kingdom resort area hotel, you will not be disappointed. And did you know they actually play the music on the in-room TV so you’re able to catch the show in the comforts of your room? We call this a close to perfect viewing! If you don’t have a theme park view, don’t worry, they pipe in the music so you can watch from the beaches at the resort.

And while there are numerous great viewing spots and many awesome recommendations, we love the way our alumni panelist, Doug, answered the best.

“My friends always ask me ‘Where is the best place to watch the fireworks?’ While I do love watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from Main Street, U.S.A., my daughters always knew that the best place to watch the fireworks was from Dad's shoulders."
