My Favorite Disney Vacation Club^® Member Benefits

My family and I have had so many exclusive experiences thanks to Disney Vacation Club. Never did we think there would be so many great perks available for being members to the club. We have been members for almost 5 years and our favorite benefits are some of the more recent membership extras that have been introduced. Being a DVC member is more than just pre-paying for your accommodations. It's having exclusive access to lounges, experiences, celebrations and discounts that are only available for being a Disney Vacation Club Member.

 

My favorite place to be at Walt Disney World is Top of the World Lounge. No matter where my family is staying on property, we always make it to Top of the World Lounge. The 7-layer cake and perfect Magic Kingdom fireworks view are the perfect way to end your night. It's a great place to mingle with other members who share the same family values as you do and of course only members and their room guests can attend. If you thought that one exclusive lounge was enough, think again because Disney Vacation Club has also given members an exclusive lounge inside a theme park! The Member Lounge inside the Imagination Pavilion at Epcot is the perfect place to relax and unwind with complimentary beverages and snacks. Kick your feet up and rest those tired feet so you can close out the park! We always make sure to stop to recharge our phones and ourselves.

 

Disney Vacation Club Members like to save money, I know we do! So when DVC offers exclusive DVC Annual Passes and discounts on event tickets like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey's Not-so-Scary Halloween Party, it makes members feel valued and that they're getting something special that is only available to members. The best benefit for those event tickets is the recent addition of allowing Disney Vacation Club members to enter Magic Kingdom at 2pm instead of 4pm with their MVMCP or MNSSHP ticket. Not only does it allow members to get more time inside the Magic Kingdom, but when I used this Membership extra, I walked right into the Magic Kingdom without any wait in line. Because the general public is allowed into the event at 4pm, the wait can sometimes be long because everyone is trying to maximize their time in the park. My family with small children is very grateful for this benefit.

 

I know we're talking about best Membership extras here, but I have to mention the BIGGEST exclusive member benefit. Moonlight Magic is one big giant party to celebrate members. We're talking complimentary park admission, complimentary Quick Service meal vouchers, and rare character greetings. I've got a picture with Darkwing Duck to prove it! I've attended every Moonlight Magic event at Disney California Adventure park and all but one at Disneyland Park. I can't think of any other complementary event that closes out one of the six US theme parks for members and their guests to attend. We have been able to take friends and family to these events and show them what Disney Vacation Club does for its members.

 

DVC has lots of benefits, both big and small, but all of them make you feel a little bit extra special. As a member, there's no greater feeling than walking up to the Magic Kingdom gates, scanning your Magic Band and instead of lighting up green it lights up purple because you're finally "Home."
