Hi, we have a 4 yrs old girl and we are trying to decide wich could be the best option between caribbean resort and port orleans riverside and french court. We'd already been at the carribbean resort at the pirate room. Can you help us to decide? thanks

    Patricia:

It may come down to the time of year.

If you are visiting during the warmer seasons, and planning on visiting the hotel pool, Caribbean Beach Resort may be the answer with its kid's water play area.  But if you're thinking of checking out another hotel, your gut may be telling you something.

Our family likes to experience difference resorts on Disney property, and I don't think Port Orleans will disappoint.  Its leg up over CBR is its boat to Downtown Disney, an attraction all in itself, and one that will create a lasting memory for your daughter.  I personally prefer the French Quarter side because of its compact buildings and single bus stop, but the pool at Riverside is much better, in my opinion.

With all that said, I honestly think a kid could have a 5-foot-wide blowup pool and have a blast.  Choose what you will enjoy and your children will follow your mood, not to mention your excitement!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
