Hello Shelley!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!
My 6-year-old is also a picky eater, so I totally understand your concerns. However, that should not stop you from considering a
Disney Dining Plan, which will give you and your child 1 Table-Service meal, 1 Quick-Service meal, and two Snacks for each night of your stay. Both of you will also receive a refillable mug that you can use for beverages at any Disney Resort hotel.
This is the best way to go if you are planning character meals, which are usually served as a buffet and offer many options for our picky eaters. My daughter actually enjoys buffets a lot more, because she has freedom to choose from more options. They always have kid-friendly classics, and little ones can also explore the regular adult buffet to find other yummy offerings that might appeal to their appetites.
I usually use a Snack credit to purchase a breakfast item (danish, croissant, yogurt, oatmeal, among others) at our Disney Resort hotel and enjoy the refillable mug for drinks. My daughter especially likes the hot chocolate. For lunch we usually use a Quick-Service credit and then take advantage of our Table-Service entitlement in the evening.
If your daughter likes Disney Princesses then you must dine in royal regal at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. How about meeting the Fab Five for a meal at Chef Mickey’s? Kids also love to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends at The Crystal Palace. Another great option is Tusker House Restaurant, where Safari Donald joins Guests for a fun-filled meal.
I hope this helps you while planning, Shelley! Stop by to visit us again real soon!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
