Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Tiffany ~
I have a son with several types of special needs and we've visited since the new Disability Service Access Card (DAS) has been in place. It is different than the Guest Assistance Card (GAC). A DAS is issued specific for a Guest and contains that Guest's picture on it so you should be issued one for each of your children. The Guest that the DAS is issued for will not need to be present to get a return time for attractions but must be present when entering the queue and when you board the attraction. Let's say you get a return time with one DAS and that child no longer wants to ride. Your party can't board using the other child's DAS.
I spoke with a Cast Member at Guest Relations concerning parties larger than 6. The DAS Card does not specifically list the maximum number of Guests that it can be used for in the Terms and Conditions that you must agree to and sign. He told me that the DAS was good for the Guest it was issued for and up to 5 additional Guests. However, a manager can make exceptions and allow a higher number of Guests to be listed on the card. If the Cast Member who assists you with issuing your DAS is not authorized to list more than 6 Guests on the card, request to speak to a manager. Keep in mind that this is a new system and they are making adjustments. If you are issued a DAS for both children, they may not allow 8 Guests on each card.
I am limited in space but here is some additional
information about how the DAS works that may help you. If you have any other questions, it would be my pleasure to assist you.
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
