Hi, I've got a 6-yr old and a 10-yr old, and will be at WDW in a few weeks. We want to rent a stroller for my 6-yr old, but if we rent a double stroller, would a 10 yr-old be able to fit in it?

    Hi Rocio!

First off, I absolutely love the convenience of the stroller rental service at the Walt Disney World theme parks. Even though I own a really nice stroller, I leave it at home because it's so much easier to not have to lug it around. When I'm on vacation, I'm looking to operate with as little stress as possible!

Great question about the double strollers. I'm not sure how tall your 10-year-old is, or how much he/she weighs, but I'm guessing that it will be too tight of a fit. Those strollers are designed to accommodate children that are 50 pounds or less, so I'm guessing your 10-year-old child might exceed that limit.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

The amount of walking guests do at Walt Disney World is typically far greater than they're used to. For children that have outgrown the stroller age, I've found that a mid-day break back at the hotel for swimming or other restful activities tends to be exactly what the doctor ordered when it comes to fatigue.

While it's certainly tempting to want to cram in as much as you can from early morning until late in the evening, you will actually have a more enjoyable vacation experience if you budget some rest and relaxation every day. (Especially when you're traveling with children!)

I hope that helps! If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
