I have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old. Would it be better to bring a double stroller for them or two strollers that fold up smaller?

I've actually brought a double stroller as well as 2 singles.  I would recommend just one double stroller.  My four year old spent more time out of the stroller than in the stroller.  Our troubles began when we tried to hold two single strollers on the buses.  We tried to hold kids and strollers.  It was very difficult.  We gave up and just brought one double stroller from that year on.  One of us holds the stroller and the other sat on the lap of the other.  It seemed to work much better.

The double will allow you the extra storage space you might need for ponchos, or souvenirs, diaper bags.
