I have a 2 yr old son and 60 yr old father which I'd love to take to Disney, but don't which park. My goal is to have a 1 or 2 magic days where all of us can enjoy some rides, parades, restaurants, etc. Any suggestion of park and tickets?

Hi Claiton and welcome to planDisney!

Spending time with your loved ones whether they be family or friends that feel like family is the hallmark of a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. From the way you've described your desired visit, it sounds like the past, present, and future of the magic are all coming together to make some wonderful memories together. Let's get y'all started!

The Walt Disney World Resort makes sure that there are lots of different ways to fill your vacation with pixie dust. When purchasing your Theme Park Tickets, you'll have the option to visit 1 park per day during your magical stay or upgrade to the Park Hopper Option which will allow you to switch parks starting at 2 PM. While I am personally a lifelong park hopper, I can definitely say that it may be a good idea to visit a single park per day. There's just so much to do in each one! But if you're going this route, how do you only choose 1 or 2 parks to enjoy? Don't worry, I've got you covered.

I would never suggest visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth without visiting Magic Kingdom Park. It's the perfect spot for all 3 generations of your family to spend quality time together. You can all enjoy the classics like "it's a small world", The Jungle Cruise, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant and watch the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade while waving at some of your favorite characters. And dine with your friends from the Hundred-Acre Wood at The Crystal Palace. Winnie the Pooh and friends will be back to visit with Guests on September 20th!

Pro-tip: My goddaughter's first trip consisted of me, a newly minted 5-year-old, and my mom in the 50+ club. We planned for a day at Magic Kingdom Park and a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We ended up switching to 2 days at Magic Kingdom Park and had the most magical time. On a short trip, I would definitely recommend it.

Claiton, I hope I've given you some ideas for this beautiful family vacation you're planning. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. I'm happy to help!

    Happy planning!
