    9 yr old son and I arriving from Australia a few days before Alaska cruise departs on June 29. I would like to pay for shore excursions before we leave Australia. How do I do this? Cheers.

    How exciting to hear that you'll be traveling across the ocean to enjoy a wonderful Alaskan voyage very soon. This itinerary is absolutely amazing - the beauty and splendor of Alaska is just breathtaking. You'll see how different this voyage is compared to all the other voyages around the world. I'm sure that you and your son will have a spectacular adventure together!

    Your shore excursions will actually be charged to the credit card that you have on file on your stateroom account. Transactions will be charged towards the end of your cruise vacation. This works particularly well, just in case you have any changes to make a few days before you leave for your cruise. Port Adventures, along with other onboard ship services like spa treatments, Palo dining fees and alcoholic beverages, usually do not require to be pre-paid. You'll usually see the charges after you've enjoyed the service.

    If you need to make special payment arrangements, you can also visit the Guest Services desk on embarkation day. If you have other forms of payment, other than the credit card on file - you can provide that payment at that time, to take care of the charges that are expected to hit your onboard account.  If you are curious about the charges that have been posted to your stateroom, you can also request a Guest Account Folio anytime during your cruise -- just visit the Guest Services desk and they'll print one out for you. It makes accounting and checking for charges for each stateroom guest easy.
