I have a 10 yr old son ( almost 11 by sail date) who's a bit advanced for his age and is in middle school. He is much more comfortable in that age group. Will the Cruise Line allow him to go to Edge if we give consent?

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for writing.  The Youth Clubs on Disney Cruise Line have always been my primary reason for sailing year after year.  My boys have "graduated" to Vibe now, but still have friends from our voyages when they were in Disney's Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab.  These amazing venues are intended for kids ages three to twelve and have a variety of activities that delight kids along that entire spectrum all day.  In fact, my boys were a bit melancholy when they aged out of the Lab.  I encourage your son to check the Lab out during open house, as I'm guessing he will be impressed by both the variety of fun activities and the number of kids his age.  If, however, he is still interested in going to Edge, you can sign a waiver during open house, and, with your permission, he can use this club as well.  Edge, intended for guests ages 11 to 14, provides tweens with their own hangout equipped with flat-screen TVs, computers and video games.  there are also guided activities and daily games.  One thing you should note is that unlike the Lab, kids at Edge enter and leave on their own rather than having the option to have parents check them in and out.

I hope your son enjoys both amazing kid spaces!
