My 4 yr old is a picky eater. We really want to try the new Be Our Guest restaurant at Magic Kingdom. I looked over the kids menu and did not see any food that she would eat. Do restaurants have anything not on the menu(chicken nuggets) to make her?

Hi Jennifer! I am so glad to see your question! I just returned from Christmas at Disney with my 6, 4 and 2 year old grandchildren. We had reservations at Be Our Guest restaurant and we were so excited to experience something new for us all. We were in the large dining hall and had a great table and a great server but......

We too could NOT find anything the kids would eat on the children's menu. I know Disney is encouraging healthy eating but honestly after a long day in the parks with tired kids all we really cared about was to get them to eat something before nodding off in their plate. We ended up asking for buttered noodles as they won't eat marinara sauce and got a bowl of pasta without the butter. We added it from the bread butter and tried to make it do. Needless to say we were making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches when we got back to our rooms. I was very disappointed that they wouldn't help out more with the selections to accommodate us. I feel this is something they need to hear from the guests. I honor their healthy choices and will always encourage my grandchildren to eat that way but sometimes a nice bowl of mac and cheese or a chicken finger is going to go a long way. After all we are on vacation...healthy stuff can happen at home.  We just didn't want to argue and have fits over their meals and it happened. It kind of ruined our first experience in this nice new Disney dining location.

I would certainly ask your server but we were not able to get substitutes from ours. It was a busy dinner seating and perhaps he was just too busy to care although he was great in all other ways.
