My 78-yr old mother in law going to WDW with us. We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn. She is not mobility impaired, but would like use of a scooter. Do we have to store it in our room or is there a place in lobby? She wants it for resort use too.

    Hi Donna,

Congratulations on your upcoming family trip with your mother!  I also adore the Boardwalk Inn and the Epcot Resort area hotels.  My family enjoys this area so much that we will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn again in just a couple of weeks.  You are going to love how accessible this area is to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Renting a scooter for your mother is a wonderful idea.  Scooters do need to be stored in your room as there is not enough room to store them in the lobby or with the concierge each night.  Since you are planning on renting a scooter for use outside of the theme parks you should consider renting from a Disney Featured Provider.  These vendors will deliver a scooter to your Resort hotel so it will be waiting for you when you arrive.  They will also pick it up directly from your Resort hotel when you depart.  To view the list of the Disney Featured Providers and/or to make a reservation follow this link and scroll to the bottom of the page:  Scooter and Wheelchair Rentals at Walt Disney World.

Thank you for submitting your question to us Donna.  If you have any other Disney vacation planning questions, please come back and visit us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to help!
