Hi, Merri! Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo to you! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I am so happy to hEAR that you are
planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your mother! I am sure you will make memories to treasure for yEARs to come! Don't forget to purchase
Memory Maker before your trip so that you will have unlimited downloads of those magical mother-daughter moments captured by the
Disney PhotoPass Service photographers.
Although there is no regularly scheduled
character experience featuring Fairy Godmother, you can find her visiting with guests from time to time in
Magic Kingdom Park. On the occasions when I have seen her in the park, she has been in Fantasyland, behind
Cinderella Castle. If you want to know whether or not Fairy Godmother will be greeting guests during your visit, the Times Guide is the thingamabob that does the job! You can pick up a Times Guide at the park entrance or at
Guest Relations to see which characters will be appearing in the park that day.
Character appearances can also be found using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. When you open your app, simply tap the map that you see at the top of your screen. Click on the "Wait Times" drop-down menu, and then select "Characters." Next, click "Show List," and you will see an alphabetized list of characters and the locations where they can be found.
While Fairy Godmother is not currently found at any
character dining experiences, character appearances are always subject to change, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest news. If you think that your mom would enjoy meeting the rest of Cinderella's family, I would recommend
making a reservation for
Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The food there is delicious, and Cinderella's stepsisters are a hoot!
Wishing you and your mother a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Samantha
