I have a 3 yr old and 18 month old and plan to get the DDP. Does it cost anything for the kids? What are there meal options?

You will be charged for the three-year-old to take part in the Disney Dining Plan, Sarah.  The good news, though, is that your eighteen-month-old needn't be included; he or she can eat for free at all of Disney's buffet and family-style service restaurants.  At a la carte restaurants--where you order from a menu--your toddler is welcome to nibble food from your plate free or charge.  Alternatively, you can order a meal for him or her and pay out of pocket for that.  Childrens' menus vary from place to place, but typically you can expect to see a number of safe child choices (pizza, nuggets, hot dogs, grilled cheese) as well as an option for the more culinary curious kids.  Some examples of those include meaty macaroni, grilled fish or chicken legs.  I hope that answers your questions, Sarah!
