We have a 4-yr old and 8-month old and are debating between the BEST value for our money. I am either looking at the Coronado Springs or Beach Club. The Beach Club will cost $1800 more for 7-nights. Is it worth that much extra? HELP!

    Hi Heather!

The Beach Club is my second favorite resort after the Wilderness Lodge.  It's a fabulous place to stay.  However, I can't tell you it is worth the extra expense.  That really depends on you and your family.

The Beach Club is located on Crescent Lake between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  You can walk to Epcot in about 5 minutes; it's a very long walk to the Studios.  There's also boat service to both theme parks from the Beach Club.  All other theme parks, water parks, and Downtown Disney can be reached via Disney buses from the front of the hotel.  The Beach Club also has the most amazing pool on Walt Disney World property:  Stormalong Bay, a sand bottom pool that is like a mini-water park.  There's even a sand island for the youngest children to play on and build sand castles.

However, if you are not going to be spending much time at your resort and if you're not going to be spending that much time in Epcot, the Beach Club may not be worth it.  If you think you will be spending most of your time in the Magic Kingdom (it's the most popular park of young children) then you might consider switching to a Magic Kingdom resort.  Also, I'm not a huge fan of Coronado Springs.  Coronado Springs is just too large  in my opinion unless you have your own car and are willing to drive it around Walt Disney World.  If you want to stay at a Disney Moderate Resort, I recommend Port Orleans Riverside, followed by Port Orleans French Quarter.  My favorite Disney Value Resort is Pop Century.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
