I have an 8yr old who is extremely excited to visit Disney park . However I also have a 10mth old & im not so sure how park friendly Disney would be for both age grps with waiting in long lines for the bigger rides for my 8yr

Hiya, Jorge, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disneyland Resort getaway is almost here, and I couldn’t be more excited! Here’s the Entertainment Schedule for your day of arrival so you can start mapping out the magic.

I often visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks alone with my three Mouseketeers, all under the age of 8, so I can relate to your plight! The good news is that the Disneyland Resort has tons of family-friendly attractions and experiences, so there will be plenty for you to enjoy together. If you have another adult traveling with you, or a Guest over the age of 14, you can take advantage of Rider Switch, so you can enjoy a thrilling attraction with your 8-year-old, while the other Guest waits with your 10-month-old. Then, you can swap with the waiting Guest so you can both enjoy the attraction with your 8-year-old. Here’s a helpful list showing which attractions offer Rider Switch.

Another option for your group is the Single Rider service. So, if you don’t have another adult or Guest over the age of 14 with you, your 8-year-old can utilize Single Rider for a typically shorter wait on any of these attractions. Of course, be sure to check height requirements at all attractions first. You can also use this handy filter on the Attractions website to filter by “Any Height” to see all the attractions available to your entire family… currently, there are 64 attractions!

In addition to attractions, there are many other fun experiences you can all enjoy together, including entertaining shows. My 3, 5, and 7-year-old all love Disney Junior Dance Party!, “Tale of the Lion King,” and Storytelling at Royal Theatre. Mickey and Friends Band-Tastic Cavalcade is a fun way to spot tons of Characters, too!

Last but not least, I recommend taking advantage of the Disneyland app – it’s a great handy helper in the parks! Use it to utilize Disney MaxPass, check wait times, find Characters, and mobile order food. Also, check out the Baby Care Centers located inside each theme park. They’re a great spot to change and feed your little one, and take a break.

Wishing you a magical adventure at the Happiest Place on Earth!
