My 4.5 yr old daughter has SEVERE food allergies (anaphylactic to nuts and peanuts) in addition to wheat, dairy, soy, and eggs. We have the food plan and they say they will prepare food she can eat. I am still nervous. Has anyone had experiences w/ this?

Hi Jill - I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's severe food allergies.  My daughter has nut allergies also, and so I can't imagine dealing with multiple allergies.

I've had great experiences at Walt Disney World dealing with food allergies.  They really work hard to accommodate all families.  It's best to talk to the cast member who seats you in the restaurants - they'll make sure that the chef comes out to talk to you.  If your daughter can't eat the standard food, they'll make something especially for her.  In our experience, the specially made food is even more special - my daughter was sad that she couldn't eat the regular dessert at 'Ohana, until the chef came out with the coolest looking special dessert.

Good luck!  Have a great vacation!
