My 14 yr old daughter is running the Star Wars 10K next Saturday. We are residents/passholders. I am only a spectator, thus I will be heading to ESPN to wait. Any tips?

    Hi Amy!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love that your daughter is running the 10K.  She will have a blast!

There are actually three spectator viewing areas that you can find listed in the Official Event Guide for the 10K.  (the guide can be found on the Star Wars Half Marathon website, under the RUNNER INFO tab.  It will also be available at the expo)  Here are the three areas:
    1. The Start  5:30 a.m. - 6:15 a.m.
    Epcot ® Wonder Parking Lot

    2. Mile 5.5 - 6.1 5:45 a.m. – 7:52 a.m.
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

    3. The Finish 5:53 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex - Touchdown Parking Lot

I am sure you want to see her at the finish, so my advice is to get there early!  There will be plenty of room for spectators along the last leg of the course, but the actual finish line area will be a popular spot.

It's also a good idea to sign up for Runner Tracking.  You should be able to find a link for signing up soon under the SPECTATOR tab on the race website, or you can sign up at the expo.  The tracking will allow you to know when she hits certain marks of the race and give you an estimated finish time to help you watch for her.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
