11 yr old daughter who is very picky and doesn't eat much. Can we order her food off of the kids menu and just pay out of pocket instead of using the dining plan credits when she doesn't want much? Hate to waste credits especially with no free dining

    Hi Angela,

Yes, you most certainly may pay out-of-pocket for items you order from the kids' menu for your daughter.  Just let your server know that you will pay cash for those items.  One of the things I love most about the Disney Dining Plan is the flexibility it affords guests.  You can use your credits when and where you want.  The only exception, of course, would be the restaurants that offer buffets.  If your daughter dines with you at a buffet like Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare, she would be charged an adult table service credit from the Disney Dining Plan.

If you have any additional questions about how to get the most from your Disney Dining Plan credits, don't hesitate to ask.  My family loves using the Disney Dining Plan while on vacation as it saves us quite a bit of money on food at Walt Disney World.  I'd be happy to share any advice you might need as you  prepare for your upcoming trip.

Best wishes for a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
