    My 14 yr old daughter has been growing her hair solely for the purpose on donating it to children battling cancer. She will be having it cut at Harmony Barber Shop during our trip in September, is there any celebration to mark this moment for her there?

    Howdy Carrie!!

    This question made my heart happy!!!  Both of my kiddos had their 1st haircuts at Harmony Barber Shop and I am both touched and inspired by your daughter's story.  I'm going to chat with my daughter and see if she and I can make this a goal for ourselves as well.  THANK YOU for sharing this!!!

    I spoke with a Cast Member and he was confident that they would do something to make the experience magical for her.  However, I'm going to encourage you to call 407-824-2222 and asked to be connected to the Harmony Barber Shop.  I would give them as much information as possible including what she is doing as well as the date and time you are planning to have her haircut.  While spontaneous magic is always great, I want you to be able to have an idea of what to expect and see what they might be able to do.

    I'm sure you have this under control, but you might also be sure to tell the Cast Member who cuts her hair what the requirements are for the organization she will be donating her hair to just to ensure they cut off the appropriate length.

    Once again, THANK YOU for sharing this and thanks to your daughter for making a smile happen for a child battling cancer.  What a wonderful gift!!
