I have a 6yr old daughter who I want to bring to Disney world for her birthday along with my 7 month old and their great grandmother, I am looking for the best kid friendly hotel and parks. I also would love to have some special interaction for her

    Christina:

I honestly think every hotel on Disney property has its own kid-friendly features.  However, I just got back from a stay at Disney's Contemporary and the entire time I was thinking, "This would be a fabulous resort for kids."  Here's why:

    • If you stay in the Tower, there's not near as much walking distance to your room as other resorts.  Best of all, you can keep your 7-month-old in the stroller as you ride the monorail to Magic Kingdom or Epcot.  Whereas, if you stay at a resort that has bus-only transportation, you will have to take him/her out of his/her stroller.  This can also be a plus for your grandmother.
    • You mention interaction and I'm thinking I'll finish your thought....interaction with Characters.  Chef Mickey's is located in the hotel and it's probably one of the best Character Meals for interaction not only with Mickey but also Minnie and the rest of the gang.  Don't forget to make reservations.
    • Although its pool does not have the activities of Beach Club nor the special effects of the volcano at Polynesian or the geyser at Wilderness Lodge, it still offers lots of space to splash, a slide to enjoy, fountains to play in and a sandy beach area.
    • The views of the hotel's tower are spectacular.  Whether you get to enjoy the Water Pageant and Bay View or the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom view, either would be memorable for both a child and adults!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
