I have a 1yr old boy and a 7yr old boy. I thought about doing the Character dining but am thinking 7yr old might be too old and the 1yr old might be too young and scared of them. So do we just pass on this trip? Any thoughts?

    Hi Nicole!

    Hmmm....good question!

My kids are 5 and 2. And really, it's my 5 year old that is terrified of the characters! (We're working on it!) But generally speaking a 7 year old is PRIME for a character meal! Especially if they have an autograph book with them--that is the most fun part for some kids.

Your 1 year old could be scared--or maybe too little to care much. My 2 year old liked them from afar, but then if I got too close, he cried. But the characters are SO kind and trained so well. They will stay far away if they see a crying, scared child. (Believe me!)

I say YES to character meals! Just find the ones that have the characters your kids love best (Disney Junior is at Hollywood & Vine, Mickey and the Gang are at Chef Mickeys and more, Stitch is at Ohana and the princesses at Akershus in Epcot, plus TONS more to choose from!) I love character meals and I'm waaaay older than 7!
