Would a 10 yr old be allowed on the Backstage Magic tour?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Scott ~

I LOVE the tours that Disney offers! I soak up every tidbit of knowledge I possibly can about Disney.

Some of the tours do have a minimum age requirement. Tours that take Guests to backstage areas like Keys To The Kingdom and Backstage Magic have a minimum age requirement of 16 years old. Guests are required to present a valid photo ID before beginning any tour where the minimum age requirement is 16. The backstage areas are where all of the magic is prepared before it comes together on-stage for Guests. Like any production, the backstage areas are not as glamorous. You may even catch a glimpse of a star outside their dressing room without their make-up. That may spoil the magic for some younger Guests.

There are some wonderful tours that a 10-year old can participate in. The Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom is amazing and I highly recommend it. Disney's The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour is another great tour. The Family Magic Tour is super cute and my sons enjoyed it when they were 8 years old but now that they are a little older, I think they may feel too old for it and I don't think they would enjoy it as much.

If you click on the "tours" link above and then the Know Before You Go section on each tour's page, you can find the minimum age requirements for that particular tour.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
