D will be 2 yr 10 mos when we visit WDW. She's very shy, timid and clingy to her parents. I don't know if she is going to be scared of all the characters and Princesses if I booked a character dining. She likes those in books but not on TV. Any advise?

    Hi Jacqueline,

My middle daughter was terrified of all characters but loved the Princesses so I understand your concerns. When we did a character meal, we made sure that she was against the wall in her chair or the furthest away.  All the characters understand and are very good with children, especially those who are frightened. As I mentioned above, my daughter was fine with the Princesses and loved posing with them, but show her Winnie the Pooh, and she ducked under the table.  I would book maybe only one or two character meals near the end of your stay.  Then visit the characters and Princesses around the theme parks throughout your stay so she will get accustomed to seeing them.  Your daughter may surprise you.  I want to you to remember an autograph book and camera (just in case) to capture those precious moments. Make sure you are in some of the pictures as well.  I hope you have a magical vacation.
