It's just me and my 11 yr daughter on this trip with no car. How do I figure out transportation within the parks to each of my destinations (i.e POP to AK to Contemporary back to POP)? Also, how to I figure in travel time? Thank you!

    Hi Jean,

You and I have something in common; I have a tween too.  He and I love to explore Walt Disney World together!

One of the many wonderful things about a Walt Disney World vacation is that you don't need your own private vehicle to get around property.  I'd be happy to help you find the best way from your point of origin to your destination at Walt Disney World.

In the scenario you mention in your question, you would board a Magic Kingdom-bound bus at Disney's Pop Century.  That bus will drop you near the front gates of the theme park.  To get to Disney's Contemporary Resort from there, simply hop on the resort monorail in front of the Magic Kingdom.  Disney's Contemporary Resort will be the first stop.

To get back to Disney's Pop Century Resort from Disney's Contemporary Resort, board the monorail on the fourth floor of the Contemporary.  Disembark in front of the Magic Kingdom and switch to a bus headed to Disney's Pop Century Resort.

I generally always allow myself one hour from point of departure to destination when using complimentary Disney transportation.  I don't like to feel rushed as I am moving through the many parks and resorts.

Wishing you and your daughter a truly magical vacation!  Let us know if you need any other directions.  We'd be happy to help!
