Hello there! You've been so helpful with my other questions. But I have one more, I'm sorry. Do you have to have a boarding pass to ride Millennium Falcon? Or is that an option for the Fast Passes and/or standby line? Thanks again!

    Hi Tanya,

Thanks for your nice compliment. You are so welcome! We're happy to help with any and all your planning questions whenever we can.

I piloted the Millennium Falcon (not very well, I might point out) shortly after the ride opened at Hollywood Studios. What fun! Even as a casual Star Wars fan, I was captivated by the attention to detail and immersive storyline throughout Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

In those early days, the standby line was the only way to board Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. I'm pleased to tell you, though, that the Disney Parks Blog announced this week that a FastPass+ option for the ride is now available for guests who visit on or after February 19, 2020. The park also has shifted around the attractions in its FastPass+ tier system. At the moment, Millennium Falcon and Slinky Dog Dash are the only two attractions in the FastPass+ top tier at Hollywood Studios. (Categories are always subject to change, of course). When you make three FastPasses in advance, you can pick one from the top tier and then two others from the rest of the list.

Currently, boarding passes are required only for the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction.

If you or a member of your family are a huge Star Wars fan, you might want to go through the standby line for the Millennium Falcon if it isn't too long. (Maybe grab a FastPass+ for one flight and go again standby.) There's so much to see as you wind your way to the Falcon, and the Play Disney Parks app makes it even more enjoyable. My family usually has a low tolerance for waiting, but we thought the hour we spent in the queue flew by.

Please don't hesitate to check back with us, Tanya, if any more questions occur to you. May the Force be with you as you plan your magical Walt Disney World vacation.
