Ahoy, Maureen!
Thanks for sailing to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this excellent question! It sounds like you're getting ready to set sail on an unforgettable voyage with your family aboard Disney Cruise Line! One of my favorite reasons why I love cruising with Captain Mickey so much is the chance to visit exotic ports of call while being surrounded by the magic of Disney!
Even though Disney Cruise Line offers many
Port Adventures to choose from at each port of call, my family has enjoyed staying onboard the ship while it's docked to enjoy our own relaxing day on deck! I'm happy to share with you that the
Youth Clubs are open while the ship is docked at the various ports of call! In fact, kids can stay in the Youth Clubs while parents are ashore exploring a port of call. Parents will just need to notify the Youth Counselors that they're leaving the ship. Once onboard your cruise, you'll be able to find the schedule of activities in each of the Youth Clubs every day in your Personal Navigator newsletter or Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
If you'll be making a stop to
Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, there is a chance the Youth Clubs might not be open (or they may have different hours) onboard; this is because the Youth Counselors move the activities onto the island for a fun-filled day of play and exploration in paradise! Even while the ship is docked at Castaway Cay, you'll be able to find the schedule of activities listed in your newsletter or app.
Maureen, I hope I was able to help you while you continue planning for your upcoming Disney Cruise! If you have any other questions, please sail back and visit us again!
