Ahoy, Christy -
Your little one is growing up so fast! Isn't it amazing how quickly they grow up? He's going to be running around the Youth Clubs on your upcoming vacation, when not too long ago - you were just carrying him around with you. Time sure zooms quickly when you're having fun :-).
The age group for the
Nursery (Flounder's Reef on the Disney Wonder and It's a Small World Nursery on the Dream/Fantasy/Magic) is 3 years old and below. The
Oceaneer Club will accept children aged 3-12 years old. So, if he is 3 years old and fully potty trained (able to use the restroom independently), he can visit the Oceaneer Club while on your voyage. I would suggest that you check out both clubs when you embark. There are some parents (and kids) who prefer to have their 3 year olds play at the Nursery -- on the other hand, some would gravitate more towards the bigger, Oceaneer Club.
The Nursery of course is smaller and has a little bit more of a relaxed vibe to it. Not as busy as the bigger, Oceaneer Club. You'll know best if you think your child will be fine amongst the other age groups, or if you think he'd be more comfortable being the big kid in the Nursery. Seeing it for yourself and speaking to the Youth Counselors will surely help you see the difference. They'll have daily Open Houses in all the Youth Clubs too. So, if you'd like to watch your son play and see how he likes it -- you can surely enjoy hanging out at the Oceaneer Club with him.
He'll have a blast no matter what! Have great vacation, Christy. Wishing you an awesome voyage!
