My youngest son will be turning 1 on Jan 7th 2009. We will be visitng Disney on Dec 27 - Jan 2.I was thinking of celebrating his birthday on Jan 1st at the park before hading back to Texas. Any suggestions of where we can celebrate his birthday?

If you prefer not to use park admission on your last day in Walt Disney World, there are many places to enjoy a special celebration outside of the parks. One example is Chef Mickey's.

For your 1 year old's birthday, I would recommend a birthday breakfast with Mickey. Your family can dine at the Contemporary Resort at Chef Mickey's restaurant. This is a fun and festive dining opportunity with characters and a delicious buffet. Mickey provides a great meal and super entertainment as well. "Celebrate with Mickey" by waving your cloth napkin and getting up to dance. You might also want to order a birthday cake for your special celebration.

For an in park celebration, I would suggest the Crystal Palace Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom where you can dine with Pooh and his pals. At Hollywood Studios, dine with the Playhouse Disney friends. Both of these meals would be fun for a young child celebrating a milestone birthday.
