Hello! My youngest son is 12 and has a cellphone but the My Disney Experience won't let him create his own account. We wanted to link his hotel room, park tickets, and Genie+ reservations to it. Is this still possible? Thanks!

    Hi there Mark!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with another great question. We love it when our Guests come back to see us again and again!

Because children must be at least 13 years old to have their own My Disney Experience account, your son will need to view his plans on your account. If you are comfortable with him having your login information, you could download the My Disney Experience Mobile App onto his smartphone and he could access everything there. Keep in mind that he would have the ability to make purchases, dining reservations, and Mobile Food & Beverage Orders in the app.

We sometimes travel with my parents who don't have their own My Disney Experience accounts but do have the My Disney Experience Mobile App on their smartphones. I into the app on their phones for them, and they can view my family's and their plans. If they want to pay for something themselves, they can still do Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering through my account, but with their credit card. We're not quite sure exactly how in-app Genie purchases will work yet, so stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog and social media for more details.

I hope this is helpful, Mark. Before you know it, your son will be old enough to make his own My Disney Experience account! Thanks again for writing to planDisney, and we look forward to seeing ya real soon.
