Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Chelsea. We're so glad you stopped by with this great question!
Your family must be super excited to travel to the Walt Disney World Resort this October. It's the perfect time to
Fall into Magic!
Traveling with little ones in tow certainly requires a bit of extra planning. It sounds like you're on the right track in being sure to have your baby carrier and stroller on hand! I'm happy to tell you that there are lots of attractions you can enjoy with your 6-year old while wearing your infant.
Family-friendly attractions don't post height requirements, so they are perfect for Guests of all ages! For safety reasons, you'll likely be asked to wear your baby forward-facing on attractions that feature a lap bar, like Peter Pan's Flight and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. On attractions that feature bench-type seating like "it's a small world" and Kilimanjaro Safaris, you are welcome to wear your baby in whatever way is most comfortable for the both of you!
If your 6-year old is a thrill seeker, be sure to utilize
Rider Switch. This family-friendly service is perfect for groups traveling with a little one who's just
too little to experience attractions with height restrictions. Rider Switch makes it possible for the adults in your group to take turns waiting with the baby and riding the attraction, but without experiencing two wait times!
Did you know there's a conveniently located
Baby Care Center in each of the four theme parks? The Baby Care Center is the perfect place for a quiet diaper change or feeding. Each Baby Care Center features a living room area with comfortable seating and a television, so your big kid can take a much-needed break while you take care of your 7- month old!
I hope this was helpful, Chelsea. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
