Welcome Aboard, Shanice!
I'm so happy to hear you and your daughter will be sailing with Disney Cruise Line in 2015. You're in for a magical vacation full of memories you'll treasure for a lifetime. What an awesome mother/daughter getaway!
It sounds like your daughter won't have any problem making friends on the cruise, since she's very social and outgoing. Though I know you'll want plenty of time together on your trip, I encourage you to also have her visit the super fun
Youth Clubs on the ship. The Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab provide a wide variety of themed activities throughout the day, and it's a great place for kids to hang out with other cruisers their same age. While your daughter visits the club, you'll have free time to enjoy the adults-only pool area or maybe make a visit to the
onboard spa.
If you're worried your daughter may be too rough or excited when she meets her favorite Disney Friends, you might want to have her watch the Characters interacting with other children before she meets them for the first time. Only you know your child and what works best for her, but rest assured the Characters have cast members that can help guide her to have a wonderful Meet and Greet experience.
Each day, you'll receive a Personal Navigator - a detailed schedule of all the fun activities happening around the ship. There's a dedicated section for Character Meet and Greets, with times and locations. Make sure to bring along some colored highlighters so you can make note of your "can't miss" experiences.
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel. Please let us know if you have further questions as you plan! - Diane W.
