I have a young adult who has ASD. He is sound sensitive, how will he do during dinner. What should I ask for to make this easier for him

    Ahoy, Randy!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to help.

Disney Cruise Line does an amazing job ensuring that each every guest has the best experience ever when onboard. For those with special needs, they truly go above and beyond to accomodate and assist in any way they can!

The Main Dining venues, where you'll eat dinner each evening, are beautifully themed and have fantastic menu choices. With Rotational Dining, your serving team will rotate to each restaurant with you each night, which is so great! They will get to know you and your family, and will know your preferences and tastes so they can make suggestions for you throughout your sailing.

The restaurants do tend to get a bit loud at dinner, even for me! I'm sure that certain table locations in the restaurants probably have a lower noise level than others, so that is definitely something to consider. Disney Cruise Line has an awesome Special Services Team that would be more than happy to help make suggestions or accommodations so that your son can enjoy his time at dinner on the ship. Simply give them a call at (407)566-3602 or email them at SpecialServices@disneycruise.com. They can answer any questions you may have about making his vacation the most magical ever, and can give you peace of mind before you set sail. They are super helpful, and will be a great resource for you as you plan your Disney Cruise Line vacation.

I hope this helps with your planning - have a magical day! - Diane W.
