We have a 2.5 yo& a 7 mo. Only "do Disney" 1-2 days in the 7. Looking for a suite with 2 br that also has cribs/highchairs/playpens. Found good deals off-site ($110/night). Comparable deals on Disney site?

Hi, David!  To get a rate as low as $110 per night for a 2 bedroom suite, you will have to stay off property.   (Even during Value Season, a 2 Bedroom Villa at Old Key West is about $545 per night.)

The upside of staying off property is access to grocery stores, endless restaurants, and of course, great prices on accommodations.

The downside is you will not be as close to the Disney Theme Parks, you cannot purchase the Dining Plan, and you cannot participate in Extra Magic Hours.  However, since you are only planning to visit Disney 1 or 2 times during your stay, much of this will not matter to you anyway.

When we had kids as young as yours, we did stay off property to get the extra bedrooms, kitchen, and everything we needed for a great price.   Having the extra space and a place to cook meals and watch TV after the little ones went to bed was our priority.   And some of the resorts are amazing!    Make sure to do your homework to find a place that has been kept up to date, as some of the properties around Orlando can look a bit "tired!"

Have a super time with your kids!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
