Hi Laurel,
We appreciate you coming to us with all of your questions and letting us help you plan your perfect Walt Disney World vacation. Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is my absolute favorite moderate resort on property. The beautiful southern charm of this resort is relaxing and inviting. I also enjoy dining at
Boatwright's Dining Hall.
I find the food quite delicious and being that it is at a resort rather than a theme park, it also tends to be less hectic, in my opinion. This isn't to say that there won't be times of the day that aren't busy at this location. My favorite entrees are the Crawfish Etouffee and the prime rib. Don't miss the New Orleans Bread Pudding....absolutely delicious! Ok, now I'm hungry. The atmosphere is very intriguing with all of the ship making photos and the large shell of a ship hanging overhead. After dinner on select nights, be sure to catch
Yehaa Bob next door at River Roost. You are sure to have an evening of yummy food followed by laughs and good times.
If do decide to go to Downtown Disney instead or on another evening, I would recommend
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant. This pub offers delectable and traditional dishes such as shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, and my personal favorite, fish and chips! You can also catch some great nightly entertainment by Irish dancers and bands perform after 6pm.
Whatever you choose, you are sure to have a wonderfully entertaining evening. Happy planning and keep those questions coming.
