yet another ? have a conference 11/13 -11/15. need to be at BW inn at 8 am. any hotels i can walk from. not so thrilled about staying at bw. right now we have a 1 bdrm villa. any alternate suggestions with easy transportation to bw?

    Hi Erin,

There are actually several resorts near the Boardwalk Inn and Villas.  Disney's Yacht & Beach Club are two deluxe properties that share some amenities (including, what many believe, is the best pool on property).  Both are within a five minute walk to the Boardwalk Inn.  The Yacht Club is a bit more formal in its feel, however, both are upscale, outstanding properties themed after the New England Coast in the 1880s.  There are a number of fabulous restaurants between these two properties, including Yachtsman Steakhouse (delicious fish, steak, wine and desserts), Cape May Buffet (a New-England clam bake buffet) and Beaches & Cream (and old-fashioned soda shop).  The resorts are located within walking distance or short boat ride from Epcot and Hollywood Studios, so if you plan to visit either park during your conference, travel will be a snap!

The Swan and Dolphin Resorts are another option. These properties are also within a short (less than five minutes) walk from the Boardwalk.  These resorts are actually owned and operated by Westin, and you can request pricing information and/or book a stay by visiting www.swandolphin.com.  I recently stayed at the Swan for the first time, and was very pleased.  The location (within walking distance of both Epcot and Hollywood Studios) is fantastic.  There are numerous restaurants ranging from high-end New York Italian eatery Il Mulino and Todd English's Bluezoo to a casual character meal (Garden Grove) and a number of "grab and go" options as well.  The pool area is lovely and the hotels' amenities, including its famous "Westin heavenly beds" are super comfy!

Hopefully, one of these resorts will meet your needs for your upcoming trip.

    Have a great visit!
