Hey, Howdy, Hey, Patrick!
Welcome back to planDisney! It truly is an honor and privilege to help you plan your TIGGER-ific adventure to
Disney World. It looks like you will be visiting the "Most MAGICAL Place On Earth" in just a few weeks, so please know that Mickey and his pals can't wait to "See You Real Soon!"
Ok, I totally get your dilemma about staying at a family suite since I also have a family of seven. I also understand the importance of wanting everyone together for all the Disney enchantment (and maybe to avoid those “Who has the room key?” moments). If you are looking for the most economical way to stay on Disney property, connecting rooms at any of the Value Resorts is still your best bet.
What I CAN tell you from experience is that Disney really does try to make the MAGIC to keep families together. If you put in a request for connecting rooms when you book, and then call back a week before your trip to remind them, your odds go way up. When you check in, you can also ask if they can prioritize your request, and Cast Members will do everything they can to make it happen. In fact, I have requested two connecting rooms for the past three years, and I am very happy to share with you that my wish has been granted every time. I know it feels like asking Genie for a wish, but not knowing if it’ll come true until you arrive. Again, it cannot be guaranteed, but there is a real possibility it will happen.
Another suggestion is to look at booking a
Deluxe Villa, which can sleep larger parties and has amazing perks like a full kitchen and extra space to spread out. For example, I just checked availability for your check-in date and found a
two-bedroom suite at Old Key West that sleeps nine. It will cost more, but the comfort and convenience could be worth it. So, while
All-Star Music can’t quite hold all seven of you in one suite, there are still plenty of ways to keep the family close and make those AH-mazing moments together extra easy.
I sure hope this helps answer your question. Please know we are here to assist in any way!
Have a MAGICAL day!
Wes
