Yes,me again. Told u I was addicted.New ?, my DS is 5yr, do u think he is too young to start doing the pin trading? How do u get started and what exactly do you do to trade with someone? Will any of the Disney panel be at WDW in Dec for X-mas?Thanx,Disneymom

Hello fellow Floridian!   I think five is a great age to start pin trading.   I have two children, 6 and 8, who started collecting about two years ago.   While both still enjoy trading, my eight year old daughter really lovers her collection of now nearly 20 pins.

To get started, I suggest purchasing one of the 4 pin-starter kits they sell everywhere throughout the parks.   This will provide your son the flexibility of an array of pins to start with.    The trading process is actually really simple.   Any Disney cast member wearing pins will stop to trade if you just ask.   At first your child will be just eager to trade, however, remind him that its fine to just say "no thanks" if there is not a better choice for him.   One tip - make sure the clips are fastened tight otherwise they can fall off.  After losing two or three pins, we purchased the locking fasteners for the pins that keep these fastened well.

Being down here in Florida, my family and I are over at Disney all the time.   Visiting just before Christmas is always tradition for us.   We just love all the holiday festivities.
