Yes, We are planning our first DW trip in Oct. 2012. I have a 2 year old daughter and myself and husband. We are wanting to stay somewhere that she will enjoy, but also a moderate resort. Was looking into the story Little Mermaid room

Yeah Crystal! Your first trip to Walt Disney World will be as magical for you as parents as for you daughter. At age two my children were enthralled with the characters, enchanted by the fireworks and never tired of riding ''it's a small world". The lyrics "It's a world of hope; it's a world of fears" are permanently embedded in my brain after experiencing the toddlerhood of four children.

If you want to try a Moderate Resort, you should consider the Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans-Riverside. These rooms have lush drapes, elegant fixtures, headboards with fiber optic lights that burst into a picture of fireworks, and princess themed details a little girl would love.

The Little Mermaid standard rooms at Disney's Art of Animation resort are scheduled to open the end of 2012, too late for your trip. If you are interested in this Value Resort  the family suites based around Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and Cars are available for booking now.

Choosing your resort is just one of the steps in planning your first Walt Disney World vacation. Please return to the Walt Disney World's Moms Panel with any questions you have
