Hi there, Laura! Welcome to planDisney - I'm so glad you found us! It sounds like you're looking into a magical vacation with
Disney Cruise Line, and I'll be happy to talk through what's included in a sailing. Let's get to it!
A DCL sailing is essentially an all-inclusive vacation at sea, so many things are included in your cruise fare. This includes SO. MUCH. FOOD. On a typical cruise, this extends to all of your meals and snacks. One highlight for our family is the
rotational dining, where you get to experience the different themed restaurants on board for dinner over the course of your cruise. Your servers will follow you each evening, and they'll get to know your family and what they like!
Guests can also visit the onboard buffets, pick up pizza or burgers at a quick-service spot, or snag a snack from a grab-and-go location. Your cruise fare also entitles you to all-you-care-to-enjoy soft drinks and soft-serve ice cream!
If your cruise stops at
Castaway Cay or
Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, a barbecue lunch is offered at the beach on those days. You definitely work up an appetite, and it's really fun to picnic outdoors before heading back to the many activities offered!
Another family favorite is the access to
24-hour room service dining - also included! You can start your day with breakfast in your stateroom, or wind down with some cookies or treats in the evening.
Laura, there are a few exceptions to be aware of. Gratuities, alcoholic beverages, adults-only dining locations like
Palo and
Remy, and specialty drinks including those offered at
Cove Café and
Vista Café are all an additional charge.
One thing is certain - you are sure to find plenty to fill up on during your Disney cruise! I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes - please don't hesitate to come see us again at planDisney if we can help with other questions about a DCL adventure.
SEA Ya Real Soon!
