Yes, we are currently booked at the wilderness lodge and I was wondering if its really worth the extra money to stay there as opposed to the French Quarter-and save about $900? If it helps I will have a 5 yr old and we are going first week in Feb. Thanks

    Hi Carrie,

I'll do my best to answer your question but please keep in mind that other panelists may respond differently. Each of us has our own favorite Disney resorts, although I will tell you that Disney's Wilderness Lodge is very popular among the Moms Panelists.

Where you spend your money while on vacation with Disney is always a matter of personal preference.  Think about it.  Nine hundred dollars would buy plenty of souvenirs, or Mickey ice cream bars, or even allow you to put a deposit down on your next Walt Disney World vacation.  That being said, I would spend the extra money to stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  Simply put, it is my favorite resort on the planet.  When my husband and I took our then five-year-old son for his first trip to Walt Disney World, we stayed in a woods view room at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  It was the perfect location for a preschooler as it was so close to the Magic Kingdom.  There are so many magical children's activities at this resort and he just loved the pool, the geyser, and the wildlife that you find at this resort.  I wrote an article last month about what makes Disney's Wilderness Lodge so spectacular.  If you google "Disney's Wilderness Lodge Orbitz blog," you'll be able to find it easily.  Be sure to read it before you make your decision.  If it is within your budget, I'd definitely encourage you to stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge during your February vacation.

Have fun and don't hesitate to let us know if you have additional questions regarding your vacation plans!
