Ahoy there, Annie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
I rode the AquaDuck on my most recent
Disney Cruise and it was so much fun. I am so excited for you and your kiddo to enjoy it on your cruise! Please be aware that to ride the AquaDuck, Guests under the age of 7 must be accompanied by a Guest 14 years old or older. Additionally, for Guests under 7 years old, the minimum height requirement to ride the AquaDuck is 42" tall.
Annie, the
AquaDuck on the
Disney Fantasy gives a breathtaking view of the ship and is one of the coolest activities I've ever experienced on a cruise. The end of the water slide is only a few inches deep and requires no swimming, as it is not attached to the pool. While Disney-provide pool vests are not allowed on the AquaDuck, "Coast Guard personal flotation devices (PFDs), water wings and flotation sewn into bathing suits may be brought onboard and are permitted on the AquaDuck."
I recommend taking a sneak peek at the AquaDuck before riding so that you can determine if you want your child to wear an approved personal flotation device. I also found several videos on YouTube showing people riding the AquaDuck that may be of help to you. And, of course, Crew Members onboard can also answer any questions you may have.
I hope this information helps, Annie, and that you have a most wonderful trip. Please let me know if you have any other questions - I'd be happy to help!
Happy sailing,
Melissa
