My 7 years old son is allergic to peanuts, almonds and hazelnuts. Is it OK to take the dining plan and is there something for him in each restaurant ? thank you !

    Bonjour Josée,

"Bienvenue" to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love helping my fellow Quebeckers plan their visits to the Walt Disney World Resort, so you've come to the right place.

Most restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort are absolutely amazing for accommodating people with food allergies or intolerances. As an example, one of my friends has a son who was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease. When I asked him what he loved the most about his "trip to see Mickey", he told me, with tears in his eyes, that it was so nice to go out to a restaurant to eat with his family and feel "normal" again. It was definitely one of the Magical highlights of his vacation, to say the least.

You can absolutely purchase the Disney Dining Plan for your upcoming vacation. Rest assured that your son will find something safe to eat in each restaurant. My fellow panelist Crystal recently gave a Guest whose daughter had a peanut and tree nut allergy some practical advice about how her family manages their son's allergies during their trips to the Walt Disney World Resort. You can also visit the Special Dietary Requests page for more information about this topic.

Happy planning and please don't hesitate to come back and visit us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
