Hi Maria!
I LOVE Disney World in October - the weather is gorgeous and the crowds have begun to thin out a little! I stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in May and I must say that I enjoyed myself more at the Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR.) My boys didn't see as many animals as we would have hoped and our room was a looong way from the lobby. I hate to keep complaining, but the food court didn't have as many choices for my boys as I would have liked. We really did have a fabulous time there, but I wanted to let you know my honest opinion!
On the other hand, we can't get enough of the CBR! The new pirate themed rooms are absolutely amazing and the main pool is my favorite in all of Walt Disney World. While the pirate rooms are great, they are located in the farthest village from the food court and shopping and cost quite a bit more. However, rooms in the villages of Aruba and Jamaica are very reasonably priced and are just a short stroll from all of the fun. This resort also has nine heated pools, boat rentals and even white sand beaches. I'm sure that your boys have a never ending supply of energy, but there is an internal bus to drive you around the resort, just in case!
You may find that checking out the pics on

Much pixie dust,
Jackie S.
