Does my 11&13 years old kids need Passport if we are using the same Port leaving and going back to the USA?

    Hi Jomely,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!

I believe you’re asking us whether your children need a Passport if you are on a “Round Trip” Disney Cruise Line voyage that is, you’ll be leaving from and returning to the same port in the United States. I’ll assume that you and your children are US Citizens. If that’s the case, then your children don’t need a Passport to sail but they will need an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate. Because they’re under 15 years of age, they won’t need to present a government-issued photo ID.

Disney Cruise Line still recommends, however, that Guests carry a valid passport for all members of their travelling party, even when one isn’t required. As someone who almost always crosses an international border for my vacations, there is definitely a certain peace of mind associated with knowing that I have my passport with me when I travel, knowing that I can travel to any destination, if necessary.

I hope my answer helps you plan smooth sailing during your upcoming voyage! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
